A Journey from Marangu to the World
My journey began in the rolling hills of Marangu, in the shadow of majestic Kilimanjaro. As the youngest of eight children, I grew up in a small village shaped by hard work and an unwavering belief in teamwork and community.
Through my networks in the USA, Africa, and Europe, I had the opportunity to work alongside the finest German distilleries in the Black Forest. This is where the vision was born — LOMATAN and Jagaboom, two brands that proudly represent the finest spirits, masterfully crafted in Germany and deeply rooted in the culture of Tanzania.
I am proud to be the founder of the first international Tanzanian spirits brand.

Where Our Spirits Are Made
Germany’s Black Forest is one of the world’s most respected homes of distilling — known for traditional copper-still craft and an exacting approach to quality. LOMATAN spirits are produced there in partnership with experienced master distillers, drawing on generations of know-how.
Each expression — from the 1976 Whisky to Gin N°7 and our rye Vodka — is made with the same care and held to the same standard.
